The hotel has a marvellous very central location right on Anstruther's harbour side. It is right by the waterfront and stylish restaurant.- Nothing too much trouble, thank you for a really really nice stay.I removed the reference to the hotel being "modern and quirky" as it was not fully positive.

Overall a relaxing stay for two nights. Small hotel with exceptional and pleasant stuff and lovely views of the sea. Exceptionally comfortable bed in the twin room, plus a lounge area, a safe box, and coffee. Beautiful area, very central location close enough to the attached restaurant, Anstruther at 6am and habour. Besides, easy to get to Anstruther Harbour Fishing Pier. Attached restaurant with amazing cuisine.

We liked the village and how the local people were friendly. The hotel was charming and clean and the staff were very helpful. The meal in the hotel restaurant was lovely.
We were expecting a sea view as this was the impression given from the marketing material. I cut my hand on the toilet seat lid. When the toilet was flushed the handle caught the lid and to stop it crashing, I went to grab it and cut my thumb. Not serious but may be worth fixing.

The room was comfortable with tea/coffee/hot chocolate/shortbread/bottled water supplied which was a nice touch. Breakfast was very nice with an excellent choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also excellent. Generous portions and efficient service.

The staff were rather unfriendly on both check in and check out. Perhaps it was just a bad day but we felt rather unwelcome.
